Legend has it that during the Romulan Diaspora, the great philosopher, Tellus was asked the question: "What is a Romulan?"  His response was the four Virtues of the Way, embodying everything that is Romulan.  His teachings formed the foundation of the Romulan Way of D'era.  Romulans were born to rule the stars and Tellus' "Endless Sky" quickly became the driving force of the early empire.  Today, the Quest for D'era lives on in the daily lives of all true Romulans.

What is D'era?

D'era is the birthright inherited by the Romulans from their Vhorani ancestors.  Roughly translated, it means 'the endless sky'.  D'era dictates the Romulan people are "chosen" to rule the galaxy.  The Romulan people cannot rest until every star visible in the Romulan sky is under their control.  Some say the quest is futile, but all true Romulans know that someday, we will rule the endless sky.
